Buffalo man arrested on DWI charge

Wednesday, May 18

• A Buffalo man was stopped on Clinton Street after police observed his vehicle swerving over the double yellow line. The vehicle reportedly accelerated to an estimated 49 mph in a 35-mph zone. During a stop of the vehicle, the driver reportedly had slurred speech, an odor of alcohol and blooshot eyes. When asked to recite the alphabet from A to Z, he was able to do so slowly. Subsequent field sobriety tests were administered, which the driver reportedly failed. He tested positive for alcohol at an alleged 0.16 percent. He was arrested and charged with imprudent speed, aggravated driving while intoxicated and felony DWI.
